Cameron R. Torkay
Owner and Founder
Cameron Torkay started in the event business as a DJ in 1992 under the name Creative Sounds DJS. A single operator with a sound system and a commitment to showing up and delivering. He built a reputation in the Northwest Houston area, and clients who hired him for music started asking if he could also handle tables, chairs, tents, catering, and staffing.
He said yes. Every time. And he figured out how to deliver.
Over three decades, that single yes built into a full-service production company with tens of thousands of events delivered across the Greater Houston Metro area. The breadth of what Torkay Event Services provides today: tents, catering, staffing, entertainment, inflatables, staging, lighting, dance floors, and more grew directly out of Cameron listening to what his clients needed and building the capability to provide it.
Torkay Event Services today handles events from backyard birthday parties of 25 guests to large-scale productions of several thousand attendees. The company also maintains relationships with a network of pre-screened vendors and performers, connecting clients with photographers, videographers, live musicians, face painters, balloon artists, and specialty entertainment when the event calls for it. Cameron is still the person who picks up the phone, knows the inventory, and builds the production list for your event. That has not changed.

Most event rental companies do one thing. They deliver bounce houses, or they set up tents, or they provide a DJ. When you need everything for a full production event, you are coordinating four, five, or six separate vendors, each with their own contracts, their own delivery windows, and their own potential to create a problem that affects the whole event.
Torkay Event Services was built specifically to be the single company that handles everything. The tent goes up the day before. The catering crew arrives the morning of. The DJ does the sound check in the afternoon. The bartenders are set up before the first guest arrives. One company coordinated all of it. One call scheduled all of it. Commercial white frame tents from 10x10 EZ-Up canopies to 40x120 large-format event tents. Sidewalls, water barrel anchoring, and full setup and teardown included.

The price you see when you book is what you pay. Delivery fees are calculated at checkout. There are no day-of surcharges, no hidden setup fees, and no surprise invoices after the event.
Torkay Event Services is fully insured and can produce a Certificate of Insurance naming any park, HOA, school, venue, or corporate property as additional insured, same day at no charge. W-9 available for corporate and school accounts.
All inflatables are registered with the Texas Department of Insurance, annually inspected, and covered by $1,000,000 per-occurrence liability coverage as required by Texas law. Tents, staging, dance floors, and inflatables always include professional setup and teardown. Your rental clock starts when setup is complete, not when the truck arrives. You get your full rental time as usable event time.
